Chords For Community was founded in 2021 by Mason Band students Michelle Li and Richa Jha. Looking for a way to make a difference during a pandemic, the two turned to their common passion for music. Realizing many in their school were interested in having a forum for dedicated musicians to come together in service to the community, the pair got to work, and Chords For Community was born. With the generous support of the Mason Orchestra, Band, and Choir programs, Chords For Community became an official Mason High School club for the 2021-22 school year.

Since then, we have had the privilege of collaborating with over a hundred MHS musicians to perform a variety of service events ranging from community performances in nursing homes and hospitals, to founding a music enrichment program at Mason Early Childhood Center, to fundraiser concerts. We are eternally grateful for the dedication these musicians have exhibited thus far and can't wait for even better things to come!
